Charis To Perform

Charis Chamber Voices, an auditioned ensemble of 27 singers based in Westchester County, N.Y., will perform at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown on Sunday, October 19, at 4 pm.

Charis, directed by Suzanne Peck, a talented music director and vocal soloist, is known throughout the tri-state region for exceptional musicianship and warmth of sound.

Charis will perform madrigals and songs spanning four centuries of the English and American vocal repertoire, in a program entitled “Hearts Turning: Songs of Love and Remembering.”

The concert is free as part of the ongoing Music at Trinity program. Donations to support future performances are gratefully accepted. The church is at 36 Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown, with plenty of free parking available behind the church. Call 426-9070 for additional information.
