Families can show their support for NYFS by signing up for a 20-minute portrait session on either date. Preregistration and prepayment of a $30 session fee is required.

One hundred percent of the total collected in session fees will be donated to the local youth and family agency, with ten percent of all resulting photos or portrait packages also being donated. Ms McIntyre is also willing to host a sitting at other locations for this fundraiser, if interested subjects are interested or cannot schedule a sitting on October 11 or 12.

Ms McIntyre said each sitting will be assigned an individual webpage for clients to visit and view proofs. Participants may then choose to order single images or special multi-image packages, discount prices for NYFS benefactors.

Individual images can be purchased for as little as $13, and special NYFS exclusive package specials start at just $49.99.

 “This is a great opportunity for families to support the NYFS and acquire professional outdoor portraits. What better backdrop than the beautiful Newtown autumn leaves?” said Ms Agen. “We are fortunate that a talented photographer like Cynthia McIntyre is willing to donate her time to our fundraising efforts.”

NYFS is a licensed, nonprofit, mental health clinic and youth service bureau dedicated to helping children, individual adults, and families achieve their highest potential. In addition to providing outpatient counseling services to individuals — children and adults, families and groups, NYFS provides positive youth development programs and is home to the offices of the Newtown Prevention Council.

NYFS programs and services are offered regardless of ability to pay.
