Over roughly the last two to three years, Head O' Meadow Elementary School community members have helped to raise the approximately $25,000 that the school's PTA recently used to fund new tables for the cafetorium.

The tables arrived on Saturday, September 10, and students used them for the first time on Monday, September 12.

The space used to have long rectangular tables, and Head O' Meadow PTA President Melissa Beylouni said the old design was not conducive to a feeling of inclusion. The round tables now let all students face each other while they eat lunch.

Head O' Meadow Lead Teacher Carol Danenberg said the children were excited on Monday when the tables arrived. On Wednesday, September 14, Ms Beylouni said, "We're really proud."

Ms Beylouni said the PTA's annual appeal letter, annual auction, and the PTA's Dad's Club contributed to raising funds for the tables. PTA board members who contributed to the effort over the last few years include Kelly Albrehct, Sarah Kelly, Vicky Ricks, Julia Conlin, Karen Roszman, Dona Malitsky, Pamela Stone-Shaw, Kristin Trudeau, and Ms Beylouni.
