To The Editor:

While walking through life, especially when living in a small town, one is lucky to meet people who make a difference, people for whom the word "service" means much more than just running a business and earning a living. These are business owners who go above and beyond the call of their vocation and commercial undertaking.

I recently needed to rent a truck so that I could move furniture. I stopped by the Dodgingtown Deli on Dodgingtown Road since I saw they are a U-Haul affiliate. What followed was one of the more pleasant experiences I had in car rental. From the start the owners were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They did not only accurately document my request, they also, followed through to make sure that the truck was there on time. They confirmed that the truck met my needs and as we got closer to the rental date were always responsive when I called with questions. Their effort on my behalf was done in spite of the fact that they were simultaneously dealing with other customers, all of whom seemed extremely satisfied when they left the deli.

Argero and George's pledge to good service is one of the reasons why many of us (maybe even all of us) choose to live in Newtown and love this town so much!
