SHOP Sandy Hook Village this week announced the return of its Annual Halloween Walk, taking place this year on Saturday, October 24, from 11 am to 2 pm, throughout Sandy Hook Village.

A favorite local family tradition, the Halloween Walk invites children and families to dress up in their Halloween best and make their way through the village for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, local shopping, dining, and community fun.

Participating Sandy Hook businesses will open their doors to costumed children, creating a fun and festive trick-or-treating experience right in the heart of the village. Additional groups and businesses will also be staged under and around the pavilion at Heritage Park, 7 Glen Road.

“The Halloween Walk is one of our favorite events of the year,” said SHOP Sandy Hook Village member Sharon Doherty.

“It’s always so much fun to see the village filled with kids in their costumes and families enjoying the day together. We love creating opportunities for our community to come together while also encouraging everyone to shop, dine, and support our local businesses,” Doherty continued.

The event will take place rain or shine, so families are encouraged to prepare for whatever October weather brings.
