Fourteen members of Newtown Senior Center competed in the seventh offering of Trivia with Larry & Zach on September 23.

Those attending were divided into three teams, with the team of Robin Carroll, Emily Belardinelli, Robin Carroll, Judi Larson, Kathy McKee and Anna Wiedemann collecting the win.

It was a closely contested match through, with the final scores of 18, 17 and 13 after 40 minutes of competing in the categories of Birth Names, Game Shows, Heroes & Villians, Lyrics, and South America.

The next offering of Trivia with Larry & Zach is scheduled for Friday, October 21, at 2 pm, at the senior center. Teams will be competing this month in the categories of M*A*S*H, Waterways, Partners/Sidekicks, Holiday Traditions, and Food & Beverage.

There is no cost for senior center members. Nonmembers should contact the center regarding fee and participation options; annual membership is $20 for Newtown residents.

Registration is required for anyone planning to participate in Trivia with Larry & Zach.

Zach Macey takes care of putting the questions and answers selections into a program that has been successfully used for months at Newtown Senior Center.
Larry Passaro gives a quick explanation of who Guy Gabaldon was and why the World War II veteran made history after a question about “The Pied Piper of Saipan” stumped all three teams last week. Passaro creates the questions and answers for the series he and Macey have been presenting at the senior center.
