Restrictions On Pregnancy Care

To the Editor:

A bill in Congress (HR 2543), best called “Federal Restrictions on Pregnancy Care Centers,” is co-sponsored by Congressman Christopher Murphy. If passed, the Federal Trade Commission would have the power to regulate the advertising of pregnancy care centers, many operated by volunteers that provide services, at no charge, to pregnant women.

Representative Murphy is the only congressman from Connecticut to co-sponsor this bill, regardless of all the services pregnancy centers give to pregnant women to help them keep their babies. Talk about “War on Women.”

Perhaps Congressman Murphy is afraid that some of those helpless, innocent, preborn babies might avoid the horror of abortion.
