Wine Tasting To Beat Cancer, Saturday
The Cure Is Only A Sip Away, a special event being hosted by and to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societyâs Connecticut chapter, will be held in The Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall on Saturday, October 6.
Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door, and will include an evening of wine tastings of selections provided by Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor, along with hors dâoeuvres and desserts. A silent auction will also be included in the evening.
Proceeds from ticket sales, the auction, and partial proceeds from wine sales will all benefit LLS.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) helps people touched by blood cancer at local levels. Local LLS chapters are throughout the United States and Canada. Each chapter offers programs and events to help the community cope with cancer. The wine tasting event this weekend comes on the heels of Newtownâs Light The Night Walk to benefit LLS on September 29 at Fairfield Hills.
