Christopher Matthew Brown, 29, of New York, N.Y., and Newtown, passed away suddenly on September 29, 2026. He was born on September 9, 1997, in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.

He was the beloved son of Suzanne Brown Vitiello, the late Thomas C. Brown IV, and Albert Vitiello III. He is survived by his sister, Caroline Brown, and his brothers, Cyril Brown and A.J. Vitiello.

Chris attended St. Rose of Lima School and Immaculate High School, and graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He worked as an investment banker in Manhattan, where he was a Vice President in Asset-Based Finance, Global Corporate & Investment Banking.

Chris found happiness in the things he loved the most: lacrosse, golf, fishing, cooking, sports, animals, and most of all, spending time with people he cared about. At Providence College, he looked after the stray cats on campus. His Catholic faith mattered to him, and on Sundays he could be found at the 10 pm Mass.

Following graduation, Chris moved to Stamford, and then to New York City, where he had an intense work ethic and was a loyal team player. He enjoyed a bustling social life, making countless memories with his friends and family. From golf trips and hiking adventures to group dinners, concerts, and Giants, Yankees, and Friars basketball games, Chris was always looking for a reason to bring people together. His vibrant personality and unmistakable sense of humor brought endless laughter to everyone who enjoyed his company. Among his friends, the words and sayings he created became a language of their own. The memory of his generous heart, loyal friendship, and fun-loving spirit will always be cherished.

Chris's wake will be held at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown on Wednesday, October 7, from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown on Thursday, October 8, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Warwick Cemetery in Warwick, N.Y.
