Flu Clinics Planned

SOUTHBURY — Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North, will host two clinics offering flu and pneumonia shots. They will run from 10 am until noon on Monday, October 16, and Thursday, November 2.

The clinics are open to the public, and it is not necessary to register for them in advance.

Anyone over age 18 in need of a shot should bring his or her insurance card to the clinics. Covered insurances for those over 65 are Medicare Part B and Health Net/Smart Choice. For those under 65, covered insurances are Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, ConnectiCare, HealthNet Smart Choice, and HealthNet State contract.

The VNA will charge clients not covered by insurance $33 for flu and $45 for pneumonia shots, payable with either cash or a personal check.

Shots are courtesy of VNA Health Care and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
