Newtown’s HartzStone Receiving ‘Rocky’ Award

The Marble Institute of America (MIA), recently announced that HartzStone, a stone restoration company based in Newtown, will receive a Rocky Award for the business to consumer website www.HartzStone.com. The Rocky is awarded to a member company by the MIA for excellence in advertising and collateral materials for marble and related products and services.

The 2006 Rocky will be awarded at the StoneExpo in Las Vegas, November 11. Ed Hartz, the owner of HartzStone, was quick to share credit with web designer Loren Ruderman and the content editor Ed Townsend.

The judges for the award chose www.HartzStone.com as the best website because of the promotion of marble, the appeal of the design, and the clarity of the content. The judges for the Rocky award evaluated websites from member firms, including retailers, product manufacturers, and other service providers.

Rocky award judges are professionals from the advertising and marketing industry.

The www.HartzStone.com website provides information about the restoration and cleaning services that the company offers and photos of completed projects. Marble projects included on the website include a formal living room, a formal foyer, and a shower.

HartzStone restorations remove soil, scratches and stains, and restore the deep shine for which marble is prized. The local business serves Connecticut and the New York metropolitan area east of the Hudson River, and can be reached at 426-0885.
