*Sandy Hook Village Farmers Market will host a special “Harvest for Hurricane Relief” effort this weekend.

In addition to the regular offerings of this weekly farmers’ market — fresh produce from local growers, vendors, baked goods and children’s entertainment — this weekend’s market will benefit hurricane relief efforts through the local Salvation Army service unit.

There will be raffles, more fresh food than usual, karate demonstrations, karate demonstrations, bouncy inflatables, pony rides, live music and more.

The farmers’ market takes place in the parking lot at 5 Glen Road in Sandy Hook.

*Two shows have been announced this week for The Chevrolet Theatre (neé The Oakdale) in Wallingford. Tickets for JOURNEY, on Sunday, November 13, will go on sale Saturday, October 8, at 10 am, priced at $35, $45 and $55; and tickets for TREY ANASTASIO, who will be performing on Saturday, November 19, will be going on sale the same day, at noon, all priced at $38.

All of these tickets can be purchased through the TicketMaster vendor of your choice.

*JON ANDERSON of YES has a solo show scheduled at The Webster Theater in Hartford on a Saturday, November 5.

If you haven’t already heard, the LOCAL H tour – which stops at The Webster on October 19 – is an All Request Tour. Patrons will be polled upon entering the club for what songs they want to hear and the evening’s set list will be created then.

Tickets for that all-ages show are also on sale, for just $10.

*New shows announced for Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den include JEFF PITCHELL & PETER TORK on November 12; THREE DOG NIGHT on December 9 and 10, one show each night; MORRIS DAY & THE TIME, December 11; SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY AND THE ASBURY JUKES, December 17; RONNIE SPECTOR, December 23; and HERMAN’S HERMITS featuring PETER NOONE on December 30 and 31, one show each night.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
