Two Weekends Planned For Annual Haunted Hayride & Barn By Woodbury Lions Club

WOODBURY — Woodbury Lions Club’s 15th Annual Haunted Hayride and Barn will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, October 21-22 and 28-29. The event, which will start at Mitchell Elementary School, is scheduled to begin at 7 each night. The last hayride wagon will leave Mitchell Elementary School at 9:30 each night.

“This year’s … event promises to be one of the best ever,” said Gary Greenstein, the club’s first vice president and the Halloween event chairman for the second consecutive year. “Most of our members take part in this event, which is one of the premiere fundraisers for the Woodbury Lions Club’s annual scholarship program for local high school students.”

The 45-minute hayride starts at Mitchell Elementary School and extends down School Street to Judson Avenue. The tractor then enters Three Mile Park, where a pack of members dressed as werewolves are waiting to scare those on board.

The tractor then heads to the haunted barn, which will be decorated in a Haunted School theme. After leaving the barn, riders will travel briefly onto Jack’s Bridge Road before heading back into the park for more frights, and then returning to Mitchell Elementary School. Tractors leave every ten minutes.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under.
