Make A Difference

To the Editor:

1 CAN Make(s) a Difference is a food drive at this Sunday’s Newtown Parade. Please bring one can of food to the parade in a plastic bag and set it on the curb.  As we march along the parade route, we will collect the food for the FAITH Food Pantry.  This is all about people from Newtown helping others from Newtown.

This year, Spencer Erhardt is helping me with 1 CAN as part of his Eagle Scout project. Spencer has repainted and repaired the shelves at the FAITH Food Pantry. The pantry looks terrific! The only thing missing is more food on the shelves. Not only is demand way up this year, but FAITH lost all of their frozen food during the Hurricane Irene. 

Please make a difference for Spencer’s project and Faith Food Pantry. Let’s fill the place so full that they can’t close the new doors on the pantry!  1 CAN make a difference because 1 CAN makes a difference.
