William Thomas Healy, Jr, 58, beloved husband of Dorothy Scalera Healy, died October 5.

In addition to his wife, his mother, Lillian Lopiano Healy, of Southbury; sisters and brothers-in-law Alison and Dylan Thomas of Newtown and Susan and Larry Lubomsk of Farmington; and his mother-in-law, Carmella Scarabino Scalera; as well as a large extended family, survive him. His father, William Thomas Healy, Sr, and father-in-law, Robert D. Scalera, predeceased him.

Born and raised in Stamford, he later moved to Redding, where attended Joel Barlow High School, playing varsity football and baseball. He attended Becker Junior College.

A lifelong Yankee fan, he also loved sharing food, laughter, and stories with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, son, and brother. His hugs and sense of humor will be missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be conducted on Saturday, October 8, at 11 am in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown.
