3rd SNAN Columbus Day Bake Sale, 10 am–2 pm, Lexington Gardens, Church Hill Road, baked goods, homemade jellies and preserves, and homemade dog biscuits presented by Spay and Neuter Association of Newtown.

Fishing Derby, 12–3 pm, 28 Washbrook Road, Newtown Republican Town Committee invites kids to bring rods and bait, enjoy soft drinks and fishing, parents can meet Newtown’s GOP candidates.

NUMC Youth Group Clothing Drive, 9 am–1 pm, Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road, used clothing for men, women, and children, also shoes, bedding, and towels will be collected by members of church’s youth group.
