To The Editor:

In recent years there have been many calls to oust the incumbent candidate just for the sake of change. The thought is that the incumbent official becomes comfortable with the status quo and is rendered ineffective. That is not the case in the 106th district in Newtown.

There is a reason why Mitch Bolinsky has been elected seven times to represent Newtown in the Connecticut State Legislature. Newtown voters recognize that Mitch is an accomplished and effective state representative for all the people in Newtown. Mitch has never voted to increase taxes and never will. We need Mitch to balance out the Democratic majority in Hartford that seeks to raise taxes and increase burdens on towns and cities.

Mitch Bolinsky is a leader that is a champion for the elderly and disabled. He knows what it’s like to care for an aging parent and fights hard to support the most vulnerable in our community. The seniority and experience that Mitch has earned continues to benefit the residents of Newtown. With the state government in Connecticut effectively a one-party state, we need Mitch Bolinsky to ensure that the fiscal guardrails remain in place.

Mitch Bolinsky listens to the concerns of Newtown residents and responds in a thoughtful and compassionate manner. He has earned my vote in the past and has again earned my vote in 2026. Please support Mitch Bolinsky to represent Newtown in the 106th district.

Thank you.
