Mr and Mrs Warren B. Baker

Former Newtown resident and town clerk Elizabeth H. Smith of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Warren B. Baker, of Leesburg, Fla., were joined in marriage on September 27 at the Balsams Country Club in Dixville Notch, N.H., with Justice of the Peace Nancy Hartshorn of Maidstone Lake, Vt., officiating.

Standing with their mother and father were Cynthia Simon and Merry McAskill. Following the candlelight ceremony with their other children, Donald Smith, Patricia Trottier, and Janice Barker, and other family members surrounding the couple, a reception was also held at The Balsams.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Maidstone Lake, Vt., and Fruitland Park, Fla.
