Salvatore     Cocca
Salvatore Cocca, 88, formerly of Milford, died October 14 at Haven Health Care in Waterbury.
He leaves one son, Frank Cocca of Bristol; one sister, Jean Kerekes of Newtown; three brothers, Michael Cocca of Stratford, Vito Cocca of Shelton, and John Cocca of Trumbull; one sister-in-law, Theresa Cocca of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Noel Cocca and Kimberly Cocca Kehle; and one great-granddaughter, Hailey Noelle Cocca.
He was the widower of Carminia (Oronzo) Cocca. Mr Cocca was born on April 10, 1915, in Spangler, Penn., a son of the late Frank and Rose Cocca and was a mill worker for the Bridgeport Brass Co. for 40 years before retiring.
Mr Cocca was a bass player and was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
A memorial mass was scheduled to be held on Friday, October 17, at 10 am, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Waterbury. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, Waterbury.
