Special Service At

Congregational Church

The laity of the Newtown Congregational Church will present Sunday’s worship service, while the Sunday School children have a fall hike up Castle Hill, weather permitting. If it rains the Sunday School will attend the regular worship service in the sanctuary.

Bill Brett will be preaching and the service will be opened by Nancy Fansher. Katie Rose Crevier will give the call to worship and the invocation prayer. Charlie Foss will give the pastoral prayer and Marilyn Alexander will give the offertory prayer. Courtney Brunton will read the scriptures and Mr Brett will give the benediction.

Sunday School Chairperson Sheila Cole and Chapel Coordinator Carl Lindquist will be joining the Sunday School hike. They and the other teachers were recently recognized by the congregation and will be with the children on Sunday morning.

Teachers are Anne and Todd Martin and Maria Barresi, prekindergarten; Sandy Petersen and Carolyn Joseph, kindergarten; Cheri and Rich Collins, second grade; Christine Hadgraft and Carol Anderson, third grade; Kristen Werden, fourth grade; Sue Body and Sheila Cole, fifth grade; Jean Walter, Dawn Escoda, and Candice Davies, sixth grade; Carol Smiley, Jerry Cole, and Bob Stowell, seventh and eighth grade.

Sheilah Krasnickas is nursery coordinator. Youth helpers are Vicky Cardoso, Matt Cole, Robin Collins, Ryan Davies, Kevin Donahue, Amanda Hadgraft, Julia Lysaght, Caitlin Norcross, Tara Ryan, Karla Spencer, and Karen Whippie.
