Statewide School-Age Child Care Conference Coming Up

MIDDLETOWN — Connecticut School Age Child Care Alliance (CSACA), Connecticut’s after-school professional organization, will hold a statewide school-age child care conference on Saturday, November 1, at Woodrow Wilson Middle School.

The conference will feature 27 workshops in three sessions. There are workshops planned that will be of interest to directors and staff of school-age programs on topics such as Mentoring and Inspiring Staff, Raising Children and Having Fun, Child Care Regulations, Supporting Children with Special Needs, Managing Stress, Social Competency Skills, Cooperative Games, and Making Activities Meaningful. A lunch and continental breakfast is included in the registration fee.

The mission of Connecticut School Age Child Care Alliance is to provide leadership, education and advocacy for excellence in school age childcare. Members receive voting privileges at CSACA meetings, reduced fees at CSACA workshops and conferences, a quarterly newsletter, CSACA Update, access to a member’s Resource Library and access to the Position Registry.
