FHS Seeking Input On Exhibitions

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield Historical Society is inviting the public to attend a presentation on the plans for its first major exhibition at Fairfield Museum and History Center, which is currently under construction on the Town Green. The presentation will be made by Robert Malootian of Gallagher & Associates, an exhibition design firm located in Bethesda, Md.

Gallagher & Associates has designed exhibits for museums such as the Smithsonian Institution, Gettysburg National Military Park, National American Jewish History Museum and the Henry Ford Museum.

The presentation and open discussion will take place on Wednesday, October 25, in the rotary room of the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, from 10 am to noon. It is free and open to the public.

The main purpose is to gather responses and input about the exhibit concepts and plans while they are under development. The staff of the historical society is particularly interested in learning what family audiences would find appealing.
