In Support Of William DeRosa, Angela Curi, Lisa Kessler
To the Editor:
Local elections are approaching quickly. A thought to share with all Newtown voters: it matters who you vote for in local elections in ways that impact the quality of your daily life in our great town. Yes, national issues matter a lot, but in the sense that “All Politics is Local” your voice is stronger and more impactful here in your community than on a national stage. Candidates make great efforts to introduce themselves, to express their thoughts and plans if elected. Read the bios, examine their positions, make informed decisions!
I am pleased to see so many new faces in the candidate crowd. We are fortunate to have local citizens interested in serving. Give them a chance, get to know them. I draw your attention particularly to: William DeRosa, candidate for Legislative Council District 1.
His October 7 letter to The Bee talking about schools, town infrastructure, and home rule strike the right tone and balance for the kind of elected leaders that benefit our town. Have a look, voters in District 1. William and his running colleagues, Angela Curi and Lisa Kessler, deserve your vote on November 2. You will be well served by this team. Information on these candidates can be found at www.newtownrepublicans.org.
