Arthur Joseph Godin

Arthur Joseph Godin, 75, of Woodbury, and formerly of Bridgeport and Newtown, died October 17 at St Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of the late Leola (St Jean) Godin

Mr Godin was born February 4, 1928, in Bridgeport, son of the late Abraham and Margaret (Martin) Godin.

Mr Godin was a licensed service technician for Hoffman Fuel, retiring after more than 30 years of service.

He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr Godin and his late wife enjoyed traveling in the United States.

He is survived by a son, Kevin Godin of South Carolina; three daughters, Debbie Redman of Bethlehem, Sharon Opeil of Woodbury, and Linda Bohan of Washington; five sisters, Louise Pryor, of Shelton, Mildred Deval of New York, Irene Crilly of Hamden, Theresa Schaaf and Evelyn Poirer, both of Stratford; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandchild.

Graveside services were held October 18 in the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
