CT Womenâs Hall Of Fame To Host 10th Anniv. Gala
HARTFORD â The Connecticut Womenâs Hall of Fame will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a gala featuring the induction of two prominent Connecticut women and the regional premiere of Katharine Houghtonâs The Three Katharines. The event is planned for Thursday, November 6, at The Bushnell.
The Connecticut Womenâs Hall of Fame honors and recognizes Connecticut women, past and present, who have broken new ground or emerged as leaders in their fields; promotes positive action; and is a vehicle for change and center for education and resources. The Hall of Fame is part of Hartford College for Women at the University of Hartford.
This yearâs inductees are Dotha Bushnell Hillyer, founder and benefactor of the Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall, and Dollie McLean, founding executive director of the Artists Collective.
Actress Katharine Houghton is the niece of Katharine Hepburn and the granddaughter of Katharine Houghton Hepburn.
Tickets for the gala are $75 for mezzanine seating for the performance only of The Three Katharines. Additional prices are $150 for a pre-show reception and orchestra seating for the show, or $250 for the pre-show reception, preferred seating for the show and admission to a post-show dessert reception with the inductees and Ms Houghton.
