Flu Clinics In Newtown
The Newtown Visiting Nurse Association will sponsor a free flu clinic on Saturday, October 25. The clinic for Newtown residents will be held from 9 am until noon and will take place in the lower meeting rooms of Edmond Town Hall, Main Street.
This yearâs free flu clinic will be providing residents with the most current vaccine for protection against the most current strains of flu. Professional nursing staff will provide the medical services at no charge.
The Danbury Visiting Nurse Association will hold three flu and pneumonia clinics in Newtown in the upcoming weeks for children and adults. There is a charge for these clinics. They will be held on Monday, October 27, from 10 am to 1 pm, at Brooks Pharmacy on Queen Street; Tuesday, November 4, from 9 am to noon, at the Big Y supermarket on Queen Street, and Saturday, November 22, from 9 am to noon, at Big Y.
At the Danbury VNA clinics, there is an $18 charge for the flu shot and a $28 charge for the pneumonia vaccine. Insurance accepted for the flu vaccineinclude Medicare Part B, Anthem Blue Cross of Connecticut, and ConnectiCare. For more information, call the Danbury VNA at 792-4120.
