Gladys V. Damon

Gladys V. Damon, 90, of Sherman Hill Road, Woodbury, died October 18 at Bethel Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Damon, Sr.

Mrs Damon was born June 4, 1913, in Dorchester, Mass., daughter of the late David and Elinore (Johanson) Ohman. Formerly of Stratford, she had lived in Woodbury since 1979, and was a member of the North Congregational Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert C. Damon, Jr, and his wife Mary of Goshen; a daughter, Donna Hanna and her husband William of Sandy Hook; a sister, Ida Coughlin; three grandchildren, Darlene Klosen, William D. Hanna, and First Lieutenant Robert C. Damon III; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew and Hunter Damon, Trevor Damon-Smith, and Kayla Klosen. A grandson Ryan Damon is deceased.

Prayer services were held October 20 at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, Main Street South, Woodbury.

Burial was held privately in the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
