NewMil Bank To Offer Free Business Seminar

SOUTHBURY — NewMil Bank is sponsoring a free business seminar entitled “Can Your Business Survive a Disaster?” on Tuesday, October 28, at the Dolce Heritage Conference Center in Southbury.

Presented in partnership with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), the 1½-hour long seminar and complimentary breakfast will begin at 8. Experienced SCORE counselors will be available to meet individually with businesses immediately following the seminar, from 9:30 to noon. All counseling is free and confidential.

The seminar will focus on teaching business owners how to prepare for the unexpected, including how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a disaster. Emergency assessment and the creation of contingency plans will also be discussed.
