Pitkoff To Speak At Nov. 3 BPW

Superintendent of Schools Evan Pitkoff will be the guest speaker at the Monday, November 3, meeting of the Newtown Business and Professional Women’s Club. The meeting will take place at the Homesteads at Newtown, 166 Mt Pleasant Road.

Dr Pitkoff will speak about the future of the Newtown school district, its goals and challenges.

Registration begins at 6:15 pm. Dinner will be at 6:30. Entrée choices are broiled halibut, penne vodka and chicken parmesan. Reservations should be made by noon on Friday, October 31, to Joan Lavery, 426-0812. The cost of the evening will be $20.

The Newtown Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the interests of business and professional women, providing them with an opportunity for networking. The club sponsors scholarships to help women who are changing or advancing their careers. BPW meets the first Monday of each month at 6 pm at various locations.
