Theater Troupe Set To Shine
In âGuys and Dollsâ
DANBURY â Performers from the Community Theater Company of Ability Beyond Disability will perform Guys and Dolls on Saturday, October 25, at 7 pm, and Sunday, October 26, at 3 pm, at Danbury High School. Twenty-six actors and actresses who are served by Ability Beyond Disability (formerly Datahr) have teamed up with ten members of the community to bring a rousing production of Damon Runyonâs classic production to the stage.
The Theater Companyâs last production, Harmony Avenue, produced in 2000, received wonderful review for its singers and dancers and acting.
Kelly Stein, the producer of Guys and Dolls and head of the Community Theater Company, says, âThe cast is a team in every sense of the word. From supporting each other through long hours of rehearsing to several dress rehearsals, they have rallied behind each other to put on a first-rate performance for the audience.â
Mayor Mark Boughton of Danbury will join the cast for the Saturday evening performance. Mayor Boughtonâs role will be the Master of Ceremonies at the Hot Box.
Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the door, at Ability Beyond Disability, or by calling the ticket hotline at 775-4700, extension 0228. The high school is on Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39), off I-84 Exit 5.
