Tigers 9, Brookfield 4 – Michael Cascone, Austin Bonadio (3 hits), Brian LeBlanc (2 hits) and Kevin LeBlanc (3 hits) powered the Tigers to the win.

Black Knights 3, Clark 1 – Cody Williams, Dan Tibolla, Robbie Blanc and Ralph Sergiovanni combined for 17 strikeouts in the win under the lights at Treadwell. Robbie Blanc had two hits including a triple. Dan Lynch had a double and Bryan Czel had a hit for Clark.

Black Knights 11, Southbury 1 – Ralph Sergiovanni had a switch-hit, left-handed grand slam into the trees at Sandy Hook to lead the Knights to the win. Alex Martens, Dan Tibolla, Kyle Gallatin and C.J. Portolese (three-run double) led the offense.

 

Minors 8/9

Athletics 10, Blue Hawks 5 – Jordyn Buyers belted a home run while Ryan Daignault and Ryan Truchess had key hits to lead the A’s. Taylor Rutter and Sam Langdon played well in the field.

Athletics 11, Bluefish 5 – Jordyn Buyers tripled twice to lead the A’s to the win. Thomas Johnston and Sam Langdon had good games as Ryan Truchess and Matt Wielebinski were solid in the field. For the Bluefish, Alex Lampel and Connor Pineau had key hits as Kaleb Rowe led the defense.

Grandslams 14, Brookfield 10 – Curtis Droniak homered and drove in three runs as the Grandslams defeated Brookfield. Kyle Wilcox tripled and doubled twice while Travis LeBlanc, Sean Connolly and Mason West had two hits apiece.

Tigers 7, Vipers 4 – Luke Shearin had three hits and Michael Cascone had two to lead the Tigers. Austin Bonadio pitched well. For the Vipers, Chris Devaney had a hit while Tim Wilder and Dan Poeltl pitched well.

Vipers 6, Bombers 5 – Tim Wilder, Oliver Powers and Dan Poeltl combined to strike out 14 batters, leading the Vipers to the win. Jeffrey Grasso led the offense with a two-run single. For the Bombers, Johnny Kerins pitched well as Ryan Cassidy, Gary Braun and Nick Barreto powered the offense.

Hawks 16, Bombers 14 – The defense of Sam Ashey and the pitching of David Gerics and Ryan Powers helped the Hawks hold the Bombers off for the win. Powers was 4-for-4 to lead the offense. For the Bombers, Coiton Sposta and Jimmy Mooney (with a picture-perfect bunt) reached base three times.

Grandslams 16, Brookfield 4 – Sean Connolly went 3-for-3 with four RBI and Mason West tripled to lead the ‘Slams to the win. Chad Magoulas and Travis LeBlanc had two hits apiece. Kyle Wilcox and Miles Newman sparked the defense.

Gators 9, Brookfield 0 - Ian McWilliams, James Alvarez, Joe Davis, Ian Kirner, Michael Lengel and Jack Kneisel all had a shot on the mound and all shared in the shutout of Brookfield. Brandon Marks and Robert Andreotta were quick on the bases while, at the plate,  Ryan Tita sent two to the fence and Dean Deamers drove in three runs.

Midgets

 

Silver Rockets versus Purple Dragons – Nicholas Samuelson, Jeremy Doski, and Michelle Zarifis sparked the Rockets as Nicholas Carozza and Emily Ann Riley led the Dragons.

Blue Wave versus Little Green Giants – Brandon O’Sullivan (two hits) and Clayton Gattey (two hits, solid defense) led the Blue Wave while Mathew Janco, Jack Beal and Michael Cirone led the Giants.

Fire Breathing Dragons versus Raptors – Richie Sadlon and Cameron Patrick led the Dragons as Tim Drotar and Patrick Rowley powered the Raptors.

Yankees versus Big Black – Patrick Berger and Lane Kummer anchored the Yankees in the field as Bobby Lydon and Kevin Conte powered the offense.

Crimson Giants versus Lightning – Matthew Perun (two hits) and Troy Frangione (several great catches) led the Giants as Alex Reyes and Austin Huffman played well for the Lightning.

Purple Dragons versus Big Black – Robby Lasher, Scott Anderson, William Montgomery and Jordan Salvesen played well for the Dragons.

Silver Rockets versus Raptors – With Matt Bouton and Max Rucinski in the field and Jonathan Sherman and Matt Lindell at the plate the Silver Rockets had a good day. For the Raptors, Patrick Donnelly and Curtis Williamson played well.

Blue Wave versus Lightning – Virgil Procaccini (two hits) and Olivia Sergiovanni (three hits) powered the Blue Wave as Steven Senf and Michael Unschuld played well for the Lightning.

Red Fire Breathing Dragons versus Little Green Giants – Akshay Delity (fielding) and Julian Dunn (hitting) led the Dragons.

Yankees versus Crimson Giants – Luke Rustici hit the ball hard and Patrick Berger played well in the field to lead the Yankees.
