Two Newtown professionals, Josh Berry, ND, from Hawleyville Naturopathic Medical, and Deb Carty, occupational therapist from Pediatric Therapy Associates, will take part in a parent workshop on November 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, titled âIntegrated Therapies for Common Childhood Issues.â
The public is invited to learn about holistic and complementary therapies often used to treat a variety of child hood issues and disorders.
Social skills therapy, neurofeedback, physical and occupational therapy, and homeopathy are nonmedication treatments that are often used with those with ADHD, ASD, Aspergerâs, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, NVLD, learning disabilities, sensory integration dysfunction, OCD, TBI, Touretteâs, etc.
In addition to Dr Berry and Ms Carty, workshop presenters include Dr Roseann Capanna-Hodge, educational psychologist and neurofeedback practitioner, SuperKids; and Barbara Cooper and Nancy Widdows, social skills therapeutic groups.
