NMS Scarecrows Will Start Doing Their Job This Weekend
The Newtown Middle School Scarecrow Contest will once again take over the lawn in front of the school on Queen Street as of Saturday, October 25.
For the contest, middle school students had to design a scarecrow in groups, and through a voting system, which is open to residents, the top three groups with the winning scarecrows will be able to choose a local charity to donate the money raised from the sale of both ballots for voting and of the scary creations themselves.
Ballots are printed in this weekâs edition of The Bee and they are also available at NMS. They can be turned in at The Beeâs office or at the school. Each vote costs a $1.
