Birthday Bash At Blue Jay Orchards

Brownie and Daisy Scouts of the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut, Inc, recently celebrated Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday at Blue Jay Orchard. Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, was born in Savannah, Ga., on October 31, 1860.

More than 200 scouts  and leaders gathered for the birthday bash. The scouts enjoyed a hayride to the pumpkin patch, selecting and decorating pumpkins, snacking on gingerbread cookies and apple cider, viewing the beehive, and visiting with friends. The girls each received a special patch to commemorate the day.
