I have been friends with Debbie Aurelia Halstead for many years. In that time I have come to know Debbie’s character upfront and personal. Besides her artistic talent, she is a creative problem solver, never in your face, but more as a negotiator. She is trustworthy, when she says she will do something, it gets done. Her easy going manner and her sense of humor make her a great communicator.

Her willingness to pitch in and help when needed makes her a reliable friend. She is also committed to doing what is right

These characteristics are admirable in a friendship but can easily be transferred to admirable characteristics in a Town Clerk.

Debbie has shown through her years of service that she is Newtown’s friend . Always faithfully serving our community with integrity and care; being a reliable public servant and wanting the best for Newtown.
