AARP Driving Course Offered

SOUTHBURY — Brownstein Jewish Family Service of The Federation-Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut has joined with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer a 55 Alive/Mature Driving Course.

This life saving drivers’ refresher course saves money, too, as participants may be eligible to receive a significant reduction in their insurance rates upon completion of this eight-hour class. In Connecticut, individuals over 62 qualify for an insurance discount of at least five percent.

Classes will be held at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North. The two sessions will be held on Thursdays, November 13 and 20, from 9 am to 1 pm. Instruction will take place in classroom 8A at the Walzer Campus. The fee for the course is $10 and checks should be made out to AARP.
