ACT Deadline Approaching

College-bound high school students who want to take the ACT assessment for college admissions have two chances to register before the national test date December 13. The postmark registration deadline is Friday, November 7. There is also a late registration postmark deadline on November 20 (an additional fee is required for late registration).

Virtually all colleges in the nation accept ACT scores. They are considered for admissions and course placement along with several other important factors, including high school GPA, college prep courses, and extracurricular activities.

There are four ACT sections covering English, reading, math, and science. The test fee is $26. To learn more about the ACT assessment, including registration forms and test locations, contact the high school guidance office or visit the ACT website, www.act.org.
