CAMPUS NOTES

Erin Delohery was among this year’s recipients of the Founder’s Scholarship at Syracuse University. The Founder’s Scholarships awards first-year students recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. Awards are valued up to $12,000 per year and are renewable.

Elizabeth Arnold and Christina Klanica of Newtown and Daniel Jura of Sandy Hook began studies this fall at Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I. Ms Klanica is majoring in marketing.

Michael Francis Morrison of Sandy Hook has been accepted to the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, N.C. He will train to become a professional automotive technician.

Christine Shannon recently received a Dean’s Scholarship from Syracuse University. Dean’s Scholarships are awarded to first-year or transfer students in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Awards are valued up to $6,000 per year and are renewable. Ms Shannon is majoring in computer graphics.
