Better Weather Next Year

To the Editor:

After much fanfare and advertising, the Newtown Visiting Nurses held Newtown’s first Drive-thru Flu Clinic last Saturday. But alack and alas, we forgot to notify the local weatherman and his plan was for some rain and our first ever EZ Pass Drive-thru Flu Clinic was rained on and had to be moved inside the middle school.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced and thank those people who moved into the school to get their flu shot and we thank the extra nurses who came to bail us out. We will try to plan for bright sunshine next year.

The last and final event of the VNA 90th Anniversary celebration will be in November (date to be published) and promises to be a real sleeper! Thank you so much for your continued support of the Newtown VNA.
