Elizabeth M. Heil

Longtime Newtown Resident

Elizabeth M. “Betty” (Schreiber) Heil, 81, of Newtown, died peacefully in her home October 24. Mrs Heil was the wife of the late Robert P. Heil.

She was born in Scranton, Penn., on August 20, 1927, a daughter of Joseph and Lona Schreiber. She was a resident of Newtown since 1969 and was a longtime employee of the former Little Red Shoe House in Newtown.

Mrs Heil is survived by her seven children, Linda Decker and Barbara Heil, both of Newtown, Alan Heil, Catherine Heil and her life partner, Frances LaPointe, Robert Heil and his wife, Debi, William Heil, and Lori Heil. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, October 31, at 11 am, in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, October 30, from 4 to 8 pm.
