I am writing in support of Chris Lyddy for state representative. In these troubling economic times we need someone who can think creatively and come up with solutions that will have a direct impact on us here in Newtown.
A freshman legislator isnât going to change the world. However, with his energy, forward-thinking, and ability to build relationships with local and state leaders, I have no doubt that Chris Lyddy can change things for us here in Newtown. Chris Lyddy has spoken about the need for tax incentives and financial assistance for home energy efficient upgrades; things that will directly effect Newtown taxpayers.
Chris Lyddy knows how important it is not only to educate our young people (he has truly been a strong proponent for education), but also to retain them so that we can begin to rebuild our stateâs workforce. By working to make Connecticut a leader in new energy technologies, Chris understands that we will not only be able to lower electric rates (directly effecting Newtown taxpayers) but also be able to provide jobs for our top student so that they stay here in Connecticut. Through his efforts in retaining our young people, he is addressing the issues facing our aging population in our state.
It is with great enthusiasm that I write in support of Chris Lyddy. He has demonstrated that he has the kind of fresh ideas and new energy we need in Hartford. A vote for him is a vote for the kind of change we need. Please join me in voting for Chris Lyddy for state representative on November 4.
