To the Editor:

On November 4 the citizens of Newtown will vote to choose a replacement for Julia Wasserman for our representative as the 106th District state representative. Julia has served all the people of Newtown with honor, distinction, and accomplishment. It is in that tradition that I encourage all to support Will Rodgers as her replacement. Much has been written about the qualifications of Will Rodgers and his opponent Chris Lyddy. Both are honorable and worthy of consideration. However, Will Rodger’s depth of experience, maturity, history, accomplishments, evenhandedness, and record clearly dictates that he will be the more accomplished and effective representative for all of us.

I hope we collectively vote to seat Will. We deserve, and need, the best we have.
