Faith Anderson

Faith Patricia Anderson, 67, of Brookfield died at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home in Ridgefield on October 31. She was born March 24, 1950, in Danbury Hospital, a daughter of the late Barbara M. (McArdle) and Harry G. Anderson.

Ms Anderson resided in Newtown for 20 years, graduating from Newtown High School, until she moved to Brookfield in 1970. She obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Connecticut State University and a master's in childhood education from Nova University.

She taught at Peter Piper Nursery School in Brookfield and My Nursery School in Ridgefield. In 1978, she co-founded and was the director of Supplemental Child Care Services, a nonprofit agency that trained and monitored day care providers in nutrition, health, and safety and also distributed federal funds to day care homes through the Connecticut Department of Education's Child Nutrition Unit.

Ms Anderson was a communicant of St Joseph's Church in Brookfield.

Her sister, Barbara I. Anderson of Brookfield, survives her.

Her parents and brother, Hal G. Anderson, predeceased her.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday, November 3, from 5 to 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Joseph's Church, 163 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, Saturday, November 4, at 10 am. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook.
