All are welcome to join a film viewing and discussion of The Social Dilemma on Friday, November 15, at the church, 14 West Street. Dinner will be at 5:30 pm, the film will be screened at 6:30, with discussion to follow. The event will conclude by 9 pm.

Released in 2020, directed by Jeff Orlowski and written by Orlowski, Davis Coombe, and Vickie Curtis, The Social Dilemma offers an inside view of making money through manipulating our interests. Insights from former media employees with dramatic interpretations reveal how social media affects us.

The film is a great conversation starter for all ages.

The next presentation in Newtown Congregational Church’s Thoughtful Films series will feature the screening of an award-winning documentary-drama hybrid released in 2020 that explores the dangerous human impact of social networking and tech experts sounding the alarm on their own creations.
