Halloween Hop

By Samantha Wong & Erin Baier

Head O’ Meadow Fifth Graders

October 29 was the last Halloween Hop of the 20th Century.

Music played and everyone danced to his or her favorite Halloween songs, while people bought tickets for many prizes in the raffle.

Popular raffle prizes included a Brittany Spears CD and the American Girl Collection.

Students were greeted with enough Halloween treats to last another decade. They lined up to play games like the hula hoop and ring toss, and won great prizes.

There were a wide array of guests, including vampires, football players, princesses, ninjas and even Obi Wan Kenobi. Parents were even seen dressed in costumes.

Many concluded that it was a great family event and recognized the hard work of the parents that volunteered to help out.  Each year, the PTA puts on the Halloween Hop.
