Veterans’ Day Concert

DANBURY — The music department at Western Connecticut State University and the Danbury Council of Veterans will present the Western’s Symphonic Band in a concert entitled “A Salute to Our Veterans’ Heritage of Freedom.”

The concert will take place on Thursday, November 11 — Veterans’ Day — at 8 pm. It will be performed in Ives Concert Hall, in White Hall at 181 White Street.

Conducted by Dr Fernando Jimenez, the director of Western’s music department’s bands and orchestra, the program will represent an eclectic collection of Americana music and pageantry. In addition to the Council of Veterans, the Danbury High School ROTC will be present with its Honor Guard.

The Danbury Council of Veterans is made up of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Marine Corps League, the Catholic War Veterans, the Disabled American Veterans and the Korean War Veterans.
