Absentee Ballots Available

Newtown Town Clerk Debbie Aurelia advises town voters that absentee ballots are available for the municipal election to be held in Newtown on November 6. Any qualified registered voter may vote by absentee if unable to vote in person due to:

*Active US military service (Contact the town clerk’s office with the address of family member(s) currently serving abroad)

*Illness or physical disability

*Absence from town during voting hours

*Religious beliefs that forbid secular activity

*Service as an election official at a polling place other than his/her own polling place

Applications for absentee ballots are available at the town clerk’s office Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. 

Special hours for absentee voting will be held Saturday, November 3, from 9 am to noon, at the town clerk’s office in Edmond Town Hall at 45 Main Street. Questions regarding absentee ballots can be directed to 270-4210.
