Attendees may also sign up for a spot on the computer equipped Medicare Bus from the Connecticut Department of Social Services. Appointments are available on Monday, November 19, from 10 am to 1 pm, to help seniors evaluate and/or choose their drug plan. A list of medications should be brought along. Register early for this important, free service, as last year all spots were quickly filled. Appointments last approximately 45 minutes.

The Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging is encouraging people on Medicare to have their prescriptions drugs run through the Medicare Plan Finder to make sure that they have a plan that best meets their needs for 2008. Those clients who are on ConnPACE, the Medicare Savings Program, or the extra help (LIS), do not have to have this done.
