Audubon Center Seeking Volunteers

SOUTH BRITAIN — The Audubon Center at Bent of the River is looking for volunteers willing to help spruce up the Bent before winter sets in. Help is needed for Saturday, November 10, from 9 am to 3 pm, when volunteers will repair washed out trails and bridges, clean up the banks of the river, and paint the areas of the office that are used by the general public.

Dinner will be provided to all volunteers who participate in Audubon Appreciation Day activities. Call 264-5098 to register, indicate the time you will be arriving, and whether you will be staying for dinner. All are welcome, Audubon members and nonmembers alike.

Bent of the River is at 185 East Flat Hill Road, about a half mile from Route 172; turn onto the road between South Britain General Store and South Britain Congregational Church.
