To the Editor:

In support of Anna Weidemann for the Board of Education position, I truly hope the voters can appreciate her honesty, intelligence, and sense of commitment to our community as much as I do. She is an unwavering supporter of education, but she also has a full appreciation for the need to budget time, allocate resources efficiently, and use money effectively. She comes to the office with an intimate knowledge of the workings of the school system, budget included.

Anna has been involved as a parent-volunteer at every grade level and was our own PTA president for all the years she was at Newtown Middle School, always acting enthusiastically and energetically to improve circumstances.

It was my pleasure to work with Anna during her ten years as Guidance Department secretary at the Middle School. Her ability to problem-solve in so many situations, with so many different personalities, on all grade levels, and her ability to communicate effectively and understand all sides, helped the Middle School run more efficiently.

She asks the hard questions of every side. She is the person we, as taxpayers, and as parents, and as educators, need on our board.
